A family man who has always maintained his innocence
A family man. A skilled artist and woodworker. A horseback rider.
Despite spending the majority of his adult life in prison, Gary's family and friends describe a man who deeply loves his family and has done his best to stay connected. His daughter recalls doing arts and crafts with him, even in prison. His niece describes an uncle who never missed a birthday and saved her life from a trailer fire.Â
In prison, Gary spends time making gifts for friends, family, his attorneys, and everyone he meets out of wood. He paints, he makes keychains, napkin holders, and miniature motorcycles. He is always busy building things for others. He has a good relationship with the correctional officers and is described as respectful, pleasant, and as never causing any problems.
Gary's family and friends believes he is innocent and continue to this day to seek mercy.
